It’s time to get familiar with a new game of secrecy and misdirection, as ITV launches Nobody’s Fool.
Hosted by Danny Dyer and Emily Atack, the series follows 10 contestants whose fate is decided by how smart their fellow contestants think they are…
Throughout the series, the contestants play quizzes in secret, as preconceptions, prejudices and first impressions come into play, with snap judgements and misdirection keeping the contestants, and viewers, guessing.
After the quizzes, the players must determine who is the weakest amongst them and eliminate them.
As each of the contestants sets out to prove their worth and value to the rest of the group, can the players suss out who is a genuine asset and who is simply faking it in a bid to stay in the game?

Job: Banker
Location: London
John believes that smartness is in the eye of the beholder and in the game, he aims to be wholeheartedly himself, and hopes people see him as ‘Honest John’.
Melissa
Age: 49
Job: A secret she’s keeping from her fellow contestants
Location: Broadstairs
Oxbridge educated Melissa got all As in her A-levels and was in Mensa at 12 years old, with a score higher than Einstein.
She plans to be funny, witty, charming and is keeping some aspects of her life close to her chest…
Omar
Age: 31
Job: Entrepreneur
Location: Benfleet
Omar likens himself to Jordan Belfort and Mark Zuckerberg, but has the people skills of Oprah Winfrey, and plans to play to people’s strengths and weaknesses.
Billy
Age: 55
Job: Clairvoyant
Location: Harrogate
Billy plans on holding back his background in law and biochemistry, hoping that his fellow players will underestimate him.
Ella
Age: 21
Job: Waitress
Location: Leeds
Thanks to her background in musical theatre, Ella can cry on demand and can play many different roles.
She believes that general knowledge is not her strength… but talking her way out of anything is.
Harry
Age: 33
Job: Journalist
Location: Carmarthenshire
Harry intends on playing the game with radical honesty, believing that he can leverage his straight-as-an-arrow approach to win people over.
With an Oxbridge background, Harry intends to use this to add credibility to his intelligence.
Kamaal
Age: 25
Job: Financial analyst
Location: London
Kamaal says people usually underestimate his intelligence because of his looks and are surprised when he tells them about his job and degree.
In the game, he plans to reveal more when he thinks the time is right.
Sonja
Age: 32
Job: Legal project manager
Location: 32
Sonja plans to “read the room” and adjust her approach as needed, and believes her intelligence, linguistic skills and uncomplicated approach will take her to victory.
Jackie
Age: 68
Job: Retired HR manager
Location: Morecambe
Jackie is a great quizzer and is hoping to subvert the competition’s initial first impressions of her. But does she have what it takes to out-quiz the younger generation?
Parissa
Age: 32
Job: Influencer
Location: Crawley
With a master’s in psychology, Parissa plans to exploit her skills to assess behavious, spot those who are faking it and gain an advantage.
