Like many actors who’ve worked with Robert Downey Jr., Pedro Pascal has nothing but praise for him, especially in one particular matter. The Fantastic Four star recalled his memorable experience visiting the Oscar-winning actor’s house for “homework” related to Avengers: Doomsday.

Pedro Pascal says Robert Downey Jr. ‘loves to feed you like an Italian mother’
Pedro Pascal is currently promoting his latest film, The Mandalorian and Grogu. During an appearance on BBC Radio 2, host Gary Davies asked what it was like for the actor to visit Robert Downey Jr.’s residence for “homework.”
The Last of Us star laughed and said, “Homework with Robert Downey Jr.? A lot of good food, really.” The actor added, “He loves to feed you like an Italian mother. It’s crazy — cookies, everything. If you’re with him, he’s trying to feed you food.”
Pascal recently joined the MCU as Mister Fantastic in The Fantastic Four: First Steps in 2025, and will reprise the role in Avengers: Doomsday later this year. He will be one of the actors to star opposite Downey Jr., who, unlike his previous Marvel appearances as Iron Man, will portray the villainous Doctor Doom.
In addition to the Tropic Thunder actor, Chris Evans is also returning to the MCU, though he will reprise his role as Steve Rogers/Captain America. The film features an expansive cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Sebastian Stan, Simu Liu, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Tom Hiddleston, Vanessa Kirby, Patrick Stewart, James Marsden, Alan Cumming, and Kelsey Grammer, among others.
Avengers: Doomsday also returns Joe and Anthony Russo to the director’s chair, and Stephen McFeely as the co-writer. The film will premiere on December 18. It will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
Earlier this year, in April, Marvel unveiled the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday to a packed audience at CinemaCon. While the trailer has not been released online, its description promises an epic, grand adventure. Meanwhile, a fan recreated the trailer with LEGO.
