Every year, we get films that are cringeworthy from start to finish, or are riddled with moments or writing that leaves us wondering, how did it get approved. In this special feature, Bollywood Hungama curates a list of 10 worst theatrical Hindi films of 2025. Note – the films are arranged in the order of their release dates.

1. Sikandar
The film left everyone shocked as it was directed by A R Murugadoss, who is known for well-executed mass films. But Sikandar was haphazardly made. It gave a feeling that several scenes have been chopped off badly. Moreover, the writing was senseless and Salman Khan didn’t seem interested at all.

2. The Bhootnii
This film proved that not all horror comedies work. This flick had promise but was badly made. The writing further spoiled the show. Some dialogues were funny but they got repetitive and hence their impact was diluted.

3. Kesari Veer
This film was a poor man’s Baahubali and Padmaavat. Suniel Shetty lifting the Shivling also gives a déjà vu of the Prabhas starrer. It was shocking the makers okayed that scene as it was immediately dubbed as a cheap copy.

4. Son Of Sardaar 2
This comic film was hardly funny. The first 30-40 minutes was extremely dull and one wonders where the film was heading. A track involving opium was embarrassing. And we are still wondering what exactly was Sanjay Mishra doing in the film.

5. Zora
The Rajiv Rai directorial was outdated and had no modern touch at all. It didn’t just give a deja vu of vintage films but also that of crime TV shows.

6. War 2
This was arguably the biggest disappointment of the year as it was expected to be one of the highest grossers of 2025. However, the direction was lacklustre. The grand action scenes didn’t impress as they were too long. The entire idea of ‘Kali’ went above the heads of the audiences.

7. Baaghi 4
The first half showed some promise. But the film goes downhill after the intermission. The writing and direction got messy while the finale was bizarre. Sanjay Dutt, with his long hair, looked like a second hand version of Shah Rukh Khan in Pathaan (2023).

8. The Bengal Files
This was nowhere close to Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files (2022), which was gripping and shocking. This time, the shock value seemed repetitive and the parallels drawn between the two tracks didn’t engage the viewers fully. The climax was very silly while the 204 minutes of run time tested the patience of the viewers.

9. Ufff Yeh Siyapaa
Many things went wrong with this film. The silent Chaplin style flick had several scenes where dialogues were absolutely necessary. But in their absence, it was a struggle to understand what was going on. There was hardly any comic moment. The first half was a torture and viewers somehow sailed through it.

10. Mastii 4
The earlier parts were vulgar but didn’t have toilet humour. This film has abundance of the latter in the second half. It was so horrible and crass that we almost threw up while watching the film. It was sad as well as shocking to see that a famous funny one-liner from Main Tera Hero (2014) was blatantly lifted and incorporated in the film. It made us wonder if the makers ran out of ideas. Again, this was another supposedly funny film that didn’t make viewers laugh.
