Actor Ahan Shetty shared a deeply personal update on his Instagram recently, marking what he describes as a “full circle” moment in his career as he prepares for the release of Border 2 — a sequel to the iconic 1997 war drama Border. In a heartfelt post, Ahan paid tribute to his father, veteran actor Suniel Shetty, as they stood together on the Border 2 set ahead of the launch of the film’s song ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge.’

Ahan captioned the post with a reflection on time, family and legacy: “They say a picture is worth a thousand words… but I don’t have the words for this. I only know what I feel.”

Ahan went on to highlight how meaningful the moment is for him personally — connecting his own journey to the legacy his father built decades ago. “I grew up watching my father be part of ‘Sandese Aate Hain’. Today, I find myself a part of ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’. Somewhere between then and now, life quietly came full circle,” he wrote, underscoring the emotional weight of stepping into a project so deeply tied to cinematic history.

Rather than framing the moment simply as a professional milestone, Ahan described it as something more profound: “This isn’t about a song or a project; it’s about time, love, and a quiet gratitude I will carry with me forever.” He added that the track carries “the unspoken emotions of every soldier, and the silent prayers of every family waiting back home.”

Border 2 — directed by Anurag Singh — brings together a starry ensemble, including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa and Anya Singh. The film is set to hit theatres on January 23, 2026.
