Actor and musician Aryan Pushkar, who recently made his acting debut with Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis, has spoken about his experience working with the filmmaker, describing it as both inspiring and formative. As the film continues to receive positive feedback from audiences, Pushkar reflected on Raghavan’s distinctive approach to storytelling and filmmaking.

Calling the collaboration a significant moment in his early acting career, Pushkar said, “Working with Sriram sir was a dream come true. I’ve always admired his perfect blend of entertainment and artistry.” He added that Raghavan’s ability to balance realism with understated humour left a lasting impression on him. “His style, the way he balances realism with subtle humour, and his storytelling, especially in Andhadhun, has been hugely inspiring. Being on set and learning from him was a privilege,” he shared.

Pushkar’s journey into cinema has been shaped by years of preparation and experimentation across multiple creative fields. A trained actor and singer, he has spent over six years working on more than 50 projects spanning film, music and long-form storytelling. His grounding in film school, paired with hands-on experience, has helped him build a nuanced understanding of the craft even before stepping into mainstream acting roles.

Prior to Ikkis, Pushkar wrote, produced and acted in the short film Policeman Special, which received critical recognition and was later acquired by Amazon Prime and MX. Alongside acting, he has also been developing long-form narrative projects, often exploring how emotion, performance and music intersect within a story.
