Sharing his thoughts after watching the film, Harish Salve said, “I watched it yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The film brings to light an important story about the underbelly of rural Indian society, a reality that deserves to be exposed, yet the narrative manages to remain engaging and entertaining. I also enjoy ‘boy’ movies from time to time, and I must say the action element was particularly enjoyable.”

Subedaar explores the life of a retired army officer who finds himself confronting the harsh and complicated realities of rural India. Anil Kapoor delivers a restrained yet powerful performance as Arjun Maurya, bringing emotional depth to a character shaped by loss, regret, and simmering anger. Director Suresh Triveni ensures that the action sequences are not merely spectacle but are closely tied to the character’s internal conflicts and the social themes the story aims to highlight.

On the work front, Anil Kapoor is also preparing for The Family Business, which is part of Netflix’s upcoming slate.
