South Korean actor Kim Min-ha has joined the Korean dubbing cast of the Tamil-language Netflix film Made In Korea, lending her voice to the film’s lead character Shenbagam, also known as Shenba. The film premiered on Netflix on March 12 and features Indian actor Priyanka Mohan in the central role.

For the Korean-language dub of the film, Kim Min-ha voices the character of Shenba, portraying the protagonist’s emotional journey through voice performance alone. Known for her expressive acting style, the actor brings the character’s experiences of isolation, determination and growth to the dubbed version intended for Korean audiences.

Kim Min-ha rose to international recognition for her performance in the Apple TV+ series Pachinko, where she played the young Sunja. The role earned her widespread acclaim and helped establish her as one of the emerging actors from South Korea gaining global attention. She has also appeared in projects such as Light Shop and Typhoon Family.

Speaking about participating in the dubbing project, Kim Min-ha said the opportunity was both exciting and challenging. “I’ve always nurtured a dream of dubbing, so it’s an honor to take part in a cross-cultural project like Made In Korea with just my voice,” she said. “It felt unfamiliar to portray a character using only my voice, but because it’s something I’ve always wanted to try, it was all the more fun and meaningful.” She added that she hopes audiences connect with the character’s emotional journey. “I hope viewers can relate to Shenba’s journey as much as I did,” she said.

The project highlights Netflix’s continued efforts to make international stories accessible through multilingual dubbing and subtitling, allowing content to reach wider audiences across different regions.
