Prime Video has officially announced Cheekatilo, its latest Telugu Original crime suspense drama, headlined by Sobhita Dhulipala. The film is set to premiere worldwide later this month and marks another addition to the platform’s expanding slate of South Indian Originals.

Set against the bustling backdrop of Hyderabad, Cheekatilo follows the gripping journey of Sandhya, a true-crime podcaster whose life takes a harrowing turn when her intern’s mysterious death uncovers a disturbing chain of brutal crimes. As she digs deeper, her relentless pursuit of justice draws her into a chilling world where truth comes at a heavy cost.

Speaking about the project, Nikhil Madhok, director & head of Originals, Prime Video India, said,

Producer D. Suresh Babu also shared his thoughts on the film’s thematic depth and collaboration with the streaming giant.

Directed by Sharan Kopishetty, Cheekatilo is produced by D. Suresh Babu under the banner of Suresh Productions Pvt. Ltd. The screenplay has been penned by Chandra Pemmaraju and Sharan Kopishetty. Alongside Sobhita Dhulipala, the film features Viswadev Rachakonda in a lead role, with Chaitanya Visalakshmi, Esha Chawla, Jhansi, Aamani and Vadlamani Srinivas appearing in pivotal roles.

The Telugu Original movie will stream exclusively on Prime Video across India and in over 240 countries and territories worldwide, further reinforcing the platform’s push towards culturally rooted yet globally resonant storytelling.
