Ram Madhvani Films, Equinox Films and Equinox Virtual have announced a leadership alignment aimed at supporting the companies’ expanding slate of work across advertising, series, films and emerging content formats. The announcement was made on January 27 in Mumbai, as the group looks to streamline operations while continuing to explore new ways of storytelling.

Under the new structure, filmmaker Ram Madhvani will continue as Founder and Chairman, retaining overall creative leadership and long-term vision across all three companies. Amita Madhvani, Co-Founder, has assumed the additional role of Chief Executive Officer. In her expanded position, she will oversee business growth, partnerships and the companies’ plans to move into newer content spaces alongside their established work.
Explaining the thinking behind the alignment, Ram Madhvani said, “The most important thing for us is reinvention. This allows us to stay open to new technologies and forms of storytelling with depth and meaning while remaining firmly rooted in our culture. For me it’s important to have a vision and pass it on whether it’s in films, series, advertising, VR, AI and newer forms of storytelling yet to come. With Amita, Manoj, Khvafar, and the full team, we continue to inspire and motivate each other with a shared value system”.
Speaking about her new role, Amita Madhvani said, “Stepping into this role at a time when storytelling is being reshaped by technology is both exciting and challenging. The focus ahead is on expanding our creative universe from redefining how advertising films are made, to building AI-led characters and immersive VR experiences. As we scale, the opportunity is to create work that feels new, relevant and ambitious, while building businesses that are equipped for the future.”
At Equinox Films, Manoj Shroff will continue as Business Head and Executive Producer, leading the advertising division. He will focus on strengthening production processes, client relationships and adapting newer production tools within advertising filmmaking. Meanwhile, Equinox Virtual will be led by Khvafar Vakharia as Business Head and Creative Executive Producer, overseeing projects that explore immersive and technology-driven storytelling.
Over the past year, the group has delivered work across advertising, branded content and long-form formats. Ram Madhvani Films released The Waking of a Nation, while Equinox Films produced campaigns for brands such as Airtel, Hilton, Nykaa, Aldo and Nestlé Milkmaid. Equinox Virtual expanded into immersive storytelling with an AI-VR project inspired by the Bhagavad Gita and introduced its AI-based musical IP Mohini – Khud Se Pyaar.
With the leadership alignment now in place, the companies aim to continue operating from a shared creative base while growing their individual strengths across different content formats.
