After the release of Dhurandhar, actor Sara Arjun shared a heartfelt thank-you note for casting director Mukesh Chhabra, expressing gratitude for choosing her for the film and believing in her long before the industry took notice. Sara posted a picture with Mukesh from one of the film’s pre-release events and reflected on their journey together.

Sara Arjun’s heartfelt message to Mukesh Chhabra goes viral as she credits him for guiding her journey from a child actor to Dhurandhar’s leading lady
Sara has been in the spotlight ever since Dhurandhar released. Her casting sparked conversations on social media due to the 20-year age gap between her and Ranveer Singh, and now she is being widely praised for her performance. Amid the ongoing discussions, she penned an emotional note for Mukesh, calling him the man “who changed the course of my life.”
In her message, Sara wrote, “My Dear Mukesh Sir, sometimes, with a father, life gently places another guiding presence in your path. Someone whose belief does not replace your own roots, but quietly strengthens them. For me, that presence was you.”
She thanked him for believing in her before anyone else did and credited his instinct and vision for shaping the film’s casting. “Every time Dhurandhar’s casting was praised, I felt immense pride because your instinct, your vision and your heart shaped that magic. You do not just give opportunities. You give people room to become,” she wrote.
Sara added that his passion deeply inspired her, calling his support a source of calm strength. “Thank you for seeing Yalina in me. Thank you for holding my spirit steady in moments I never had to name. From the McDonald’s ad to Dhurandhar, this journey felt like a blessing,” she concluded.
Mukesh Chhabra and Raj Arjun respond
Mukesh responded emotionally to Sara’s note, recalling her first ad — a McDonald’s commercial — and expressing pride in her growth. He wrote, “Your dedication, talent, purity, and upbringing reflect so beautifully in your work. I can’t wait for everyone to see the magic you’ve created in Part 2.”
Sara’s father, actor Raj Arjun, also shared a heartfelt message. He appreciated her humility and expressed pride in her journey, writing that her grounded nature and gratitude made him extremely proud.
Before Dhurandhar, Sara appeared as young Nandini in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan and first rose to prominence with the 2011 Tamil film Deiva Thirumagal, in which she played Vikram’s daughter. She later received acclaim for Saivam (2014). As a child actor, she also worked in Hindi films such as Ek Thi Daayan, Jai Ho, Jazbaa, and Saand Ki Aankh. Dhurandhar marks her debut as an adult actor.
