The team of Border 2 visited the Karwar Naval Base in Karnataka on Wednesday, January 14, marking a significant moment during the film’s ongoing preparations. The event was in collaboration with Amazon Music. The base holds strategic importance for the Indian Navy as it houses INS Vikrant, India’s first indigenous aircraft carrier and a symbol of the country’s maritime strength.

Sonu Nigam thanks early mentors while visiting INS Vikrant with Border 2 team: “I was so new, so young. But the faith…”
The visit turned especially emotional when singer Sonu Nigam reflected on his early years in the film industry and the faith placed in him at a young age. Speaking during the event, Sonu expressed gratitude to the people who supported him when he was just starting out, acknowledging how those early decisions shaped his journey.
“Because, ek ikkis saal ke ladke ko koi itna bada gaana kaha deta hai? Itni courage kaise laae aap? Aapke paas toh bohot options the. I was nothing, but I was so new, so young. But the faith that you had in me back then is the reason I am seeing this day. So thank you,” Sonu said.
The singer further added, “Because aapki wajah se mujhe itne bade bade stalwarts, JP sahab se milne ka mauka mila, aur woh bhi kitne kind log, apne kaam mein ferocious lekin they knew I was a young boy, they were all Javed Sahab, JP ji, they all carried me. Roop Ji was an elder brother.”
Border 2 stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J P Dutta and Nidhi Dutta and directed by Anurag Singh. It will be released in cinemas on January 23.
