The Bold and the Beautiful is gearing up to bring back a familiar face that many longtime fans probably did not expect to see again. The character has been away from the soap opera series for over a year.
Dick Christie returns as Charlie Webber on The Bold and the Beautiful
Dick Christie is returning as Forrester Creations security chief Charlie Webber. The actor has been away from the show since April 2025. Now, he is finally set to return.
Christie first joined the show back in 2013. Since then, he has appeared in many episodes, playing Charlie, the longtime head of security at Forrester Creations.
In an earlier interview with Soap Opera Digest, Christie talked about the way he sees Charlie’s personality on the show. According to the actor, Charlie views himself as much more important than an ordinary security guard at Forrester Creations.
“He considers himself to be the Renaissance man of security guards,” he explained. The actor also joked about Charlie knowing almost everything related to famous diamond thefts throughout history. Apparently, he never really stops talking about them either.
“He’s got instant total recall of any diamond heist that happened in the last 100 years and can detail it chapter and verse, whether you want to hear it or not,” Christie said. He even compared Charlie’s personality to a combination of classic sitcom characters mixed with animated comedy energy.
“If you had to describe him in a sentence, it would be, ‘A cross between Cliff the mailman on Cheers and any of Patrick Warburton’s [Family Guy] characters,’” he added. Before joining The Bold and the Beautiful, Christie appeared in several popular television shows throughout his career, including Small Wonder, Who’s the Boss?, Days of Our Lives, and Hunter. Notably, he also appeared in one episode of Breaking Bad.
