On Thursday, the actor took to Instagram Stories and shared a screenshot showing the city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) data. According to the image, the average AQI in Mumbai was around 150, a level considered unhealthy for sensitive groups.

Air pollution has been a growing concern in Mumbai in recent years, with fluctuating AQI levels often raising questions about urban infrastructure, construction activities and environmental management. Deepika’s social media post comes at a time when the actor has also been in the news for reportedly cancelling a scheduled appearance in Paris. She was expected to attend a high-profile event in the French capital as one of the global ambassadors for luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton.

According to a report by Mid-Day, the actor’s travel plans were disrupted after her flight was cancelled due to international air travel disruptions amid escalating geopolitical tensions in West Asia. A source close to the actor told the publication that Deepika had initially confirmed her attendance at the event and had even begun outfit trials in preparation for the appearance.
