As Fighter completes two years since its release, actor Rishabh Sawhney marked the milestone with a deeply personal reflection rather than a celebratory post. Taking to Instagram, the actor shared unseen behind-the-scenes photographs from the film and penned a note rooted in gratitude, faith, and the journey that transformed his life.

Reflecting on the impact Fighter has had on him, Rishabh described the film as a turning point in his career, especially as an outsider navigating the industry. His message resonated as a tribute to dreamers who often doubt whether making it to the big screen is possible. “This story is about gratitude and a little bit of magic,” he wrote, dedicating his words to those who continue to believe despite the odds.

Central to his reflection was the idea of the Guru, a concept deeply embedded in Indian tradition. Rishabh acknowledged filmmaker Siddharth Anand as that guiding force in his life, placing him on a pedestal of immense respect. Addressing the director directly, he wrote, “@s1danand, you’ve been that person for me.”

Looking back on how his journey with Fighter began, Rishabh recalled how a routine audition call turned into the most defining chapter of his career. “It’s been two years since Fighter — the most magical experience of my life — and I’ve wanted to tell this story. What came as just another audition call turned out to be the most magical thing for me. One minute, I have given an audition, and the next minute, I’m sitting opposite, probably one of the coolest people I’ve ever met, Mr Siddharth Anand. We had a long conversation, and that’s when I got to know I’m doing Fighter, playing the antagonist in his film.”

He further spoke about the learning he gained on set, adding, “The whole experience of working with him and just getting to observe him do his magic taught me so much about films, leadership and how to be calm even in the most stressful environment.”

Rishabh also credited his co-stars and collaborators, writing, “Working closely with @hrithikroshan showed me what true stardom really means, and the belief of @castingchhabra from day one gave me the confidence to own my journey. Thank you for the opportunity, the trust, and the learning.”

He concluded with an encouraging message to fellow dreamers: “Go for it. Relentlessly. Without doubting yourself for a second. Everything is possible if you believe.”

Directed by Siddharth Anand, Fighter is an aerial action film produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor in lead roles, with Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Rishabh Sawhney, and Sanjeeda Sheikh in supporting roles. It is also the first installment in a planned aerial action franchise.
