The Family Man continues its tradition of casting formidable talent to challenge Manoj Bajpayee’s Srikant Tiwari, and in season three, Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrat Kaur have emerged as standout additions. Their performances bring depth and menace to the series, raising the stakes for the central characters. Nimrat Kaur, in particular, has captivated audiences with her portrayal of a confident, self-assured character who navigates a male-dominated world with authority and intelligence.

Nimrat Kaur on the power, paradox, and personal reflection of playing a ruthless, self-assured villain in The Family Man season 3
Her character has quickly become a fan favourite, admired for her commanding presence and ability to assert power in challenging situations. This level of confidence, Nimrat noted, was both empowering and distinct from her own personality.
Speaking about the challenges and fascination of the role, Nimrat said, “It’s interesting that the writer’s room is mostly men. We are meeting a woman in a man’s world who is running a show like a man, yet written by men. I found that empowering—taking that position on screen made me reflect on myself. Many times, I thought about how it would be great to be that self-assured in situations where, in real life, I might be hesitant.”
She also acknowledged the contrast between her character’s confidence and her personal life, highlighting the liberating nature of acting. “What I’m trying to sell on screen, I’m not sure I could always pull off in real life. With my conditioning and upbringing, I might not have that same confidence. That’s the freedom of being an actor,” Nimrat explained.
Under the direction of Raj & DK, The Family Man 3 skillfully blends high-octane action with moments of relatable, middle-class chaos. The new season follows a high-stakes mission in the North-East while bringing back fan favourites like Sharib Hashmi (JK) and Priyamani (Suchitra), alongside the formidable challenges posed by Nimrat’s character, Rukma.
Season three presents Srikant Tiwari’s toughest balancing act yet—managing national security while keeping his family life intact. Streaming globally on Prime Video, the series promises a gripping combination of suspense, action, and human drama, making it a must-watch for fans of the franchise.
