Actor-producer Richa Chadha is set to expand her creative footprint with a new non-fiction series focused on travel, culture, and lived experiences. The upcoming project marks her first foray into the non-fiction space as a creator and adds another dimension to her growing body of work behind the camera.

Richa Chadha steps into non-fiction space; to produce travel and culture-based series
The series is envisioned as an exploration of Bharat’s cultural landscape, spotlighting its diverse communities, traditions, and stories that shape everyday life. Blending travel with cultural observation, the show aims to present real experiences while examining the connections between people and places. The project reflects Richa’s continued interest in working across formats and genres, moving beyond conventional fictional storytelling.
This new venture comes on the back of her debut production Girls Will Be Girls, which received recognition at several international film festivals and helped establish her presence as a producer. With the upcoming non-fiction series, Richa appears keen to broaden her creative scope further by engaging with stories rooted in reality and cultural discovery.
Speaking about the project, Richa Chadha said, “I’ve always believed that stories exist everywhere in people, in places, in cultures we’ve never paused to understand. With this non-fiction series, I want to explore that world with curiosity and compassion. As an artist, I feel it’s important to keep experimenting, keep growing, and keep challenging yourself. Girls Will Be Girls was my first step in that direction as a producer, and this new series is another leap into a space that excites me deeply. I’m eager to bring real stories of travel, heritage, and human connection to life. I had done a sort of test run of this kind of content, during the 2nd wave of COVID with KINDRY. So I know it will touch the hearts of Indians all over the world!”
According to the announcement, the series will feature a range of landscapes and narratives, focusing on lesser-known histories and perspectives. The intent is to encourage viewers to engage with cultural stories through a grounded and observational lens.
Details regarding the format, platform, and release timeline of the non-fiction series are currently under wraps and are expected to be revealed at a later date.
