The Villager of Level 999 is joining Crunchyroll’s summer anime schedule, with the fantasy series’ release schedule from official sources having it set to begin streaming in July.

Based on the light novel series by Koneko Hoshitsuki, the anime follows Koji Kagami, a villager living in a world where people are born into fixed roles.
While the role of villager is considered the weakest of all, Koji has reached Level 999, putting him far beyond what should be possible for someone of his class.
The series comes from animation studio Brain’s Base, with the anime set to begin its Japanese broadcast on TV Tokyo and BS Fuji. Crunchyroll has also confirmed that it will stream the series internationally as part of its summer 2026 anime line-up.
Here is the release schedule for The Villager of Level 999 so far.

The Villager of Level 999 is set in a world where everyone is born with a role that shapes their life, from warriors and mages to heroes and kings.
Among those roles, the villager is considered the weakest, merely being ordinary people with little power, and is generally protected by those with stronger classes.
Koji Kagami, however, is an exception. Despite being born as a villager, he has reached Level 999, giving him strength far beyond what the world expects from someone in his position.
The story follows Koji after he meets Alice, the daughter of the Demon King. As the pair’s encounter sets the series in motion, both become involved in a wider conflict between humans and demons, while challenging the rules that govern their world.
The Villager of Level 999 will stream on Crunchyroll.
