The Ranveer Singh led Dhurandhar has set the box office on fire in India. According to very early estimates, the Aditya Dhar directorial has collected Rs. 30 crore on Thursday, taking the 7-day total collections to Rs. 219 crore. The film is on a historic theatrical run, as the Thursday collections are higher than not just Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but also the opening day.

The film is not looking to stop any time soon, and the 2nd Friday collections are poised to be higher than the opening day. The film will enter the Rs. 300 crore club by the end of second weekend, and probably get towards the Rs. 400 crore mark by the end of second week. With a Christmas period ahead, the film is expected to pose strong opposition to Avatar and the two holiday releases – Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Ikkis.
Dhurandhar has just begun its journey, and the film has slowly become a movement for community viewing experience. Very rarely do films score a bigger day 7 than Day 1, that too without a holiday and Dhurandhar has managed to do that.
There will be a jump in business on 2nd Friday, leading to a strong trend through the weekend. A second weekend of Rs. 100 crore seems to be on cards for Dhurandhar.
