The 2026 edition of the Tour de France – one of the highlights of the sporting calendar – is here and set to turn us all into cycling experts for July.

A journey of 3,333km stretches ahead. Across 21 stages over 23 days, cycling’s best and brightest will navigate the sport’s ultimate test in pursuit of its most prestigious crown.

Barcelona hosts the 2026 Grand Départ, including the first team time trial since 2019, before riders – likely led by history-chasing favourite Tadej Pogačar – work their way up through France.
There is a shake-up to the coverage this year. 2025 was the final year of ITV’s deal and there will be no action live on free-to-air English TV as a result, but there is still extensive coverage for fans in the UK.

How to watch Tour de France 2026 on TV and live stream
UK viewers can watch all of the action live on TNT Sports.
There are multiple ways to get TNT Sports. If you already have BT Broadband, you can add TNT Sports to your existing contract from just £18 per month. You can add the ‘Big Sport’ package for £40 per month which includes all TNT Sports and 11 Sky Sports channels via a NOW pass.
You can also access TNT Sports via HBO Max and stream directly to your smart TV.
You can watch the match on TNT Sports via a HBO Max sport pass without signing up to a contract.
Regular subscribers can also stream matches on a variety of devices including laptops, smartphones and tablets via the HBO Max app.

UK viewers can also tune in for free to watch Welsh-language coverage of select stages on S4C, which is also available via S4C Clic and BBC iPlayer, as well as on the S4C Chwaraeon YouTube channel.
Stages 1, 2, 3, 19, 20, and 21 will be available live on S4C and online, while stage 18 is only available online.
