Belgium and Senegal continue their World Cup campaigns in Seattle on Wednesday night with a spot in the last 16 up for grabs.

The Red Devils narrowly topped Group G with Rudi Garcia’s side drawing against Egypt and Iran before hammering New Zealand 5-1 in their final clash to book their round of 32 place.
Belgium failed to get out of the group at the 2022 World Cup, but they reached the quarter-finals and semi-finals in the two tournaments prior to Qatar. Whether they can go that far this summer remains to be seen.
Senegal qualified for the round of 32 as one of the best third-placed teams. Pape Thiaw’s men beat Iraq 5-0 in their final group game to finish third in Group I behind France and Norway.
The African side are hoping to better their best-ever finish of reaching the quarter-finals, and Wednesday’s winner will face either the USA or Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last 16. Their likely quarter-final opponents would be Spain or Portugal.
