The BBC has scheduled a special night of programming to celebrating Dame Penelope Keith’s life and career following the star’s death at the age of 86.
Keith – best known for starring in sitcoms To the Manor Born and The Good Life – passed away “peacefully” at her Surrey home, her family announced this week.
Now, Penelope Keith Remembers… To the Manor Born, which first aired back in 2024, will be broadcast again on Tuesday 14 July at 8pm on BBC Four.
The 14-minute documentary sees the late star reflect on her role as the upper-class Audrey fforbes-Hamilton in To the Manor Born.
The actress also tells the story of the comedy’s beginnings and recalls what it was like to work with fellow cast members Angela Thorne and Peter Bowles.

A classic episode of To the Manor Born will then be shown at 8:15pm, followed by an instalment of The Good Life at 8:45pm.
Hay Fever, a television adaptation of Noël Coward’s play of the same name which stars Keith as retired actress Judith Bliss, will then air on the channel at 9:15pm.
Announcing the news of her death, Keith’s family wrote in a statement: “We are deeply saddened to announce that Dame Penelope Keith died peacefully whilst living with cancer at her home in Surrey where she had lived for more than 50 years.
