Best movies on Disney Plus UK to watch right now

Posted on January 1, 1970April 18, 2026 By webseriesdownload No Comments on Best movies on Disney Plus UK to watch right now

If you’re on the lookout for your next movie night pick, Disney+ has you covered with a huge library of films ready for you to choose from.

One of them is classic animation Tangled, which retells the Rapunzel fairy tale, following a spirited princess with magical hair who escapes her tower with a charming thief, discovering freedom, identity, romance and adventure along the way.

Another film for all the family is The Princess Bride, a 1987 movie that follows Westley, a farm hand (Cary Elwes) who goes on a quest to rescue Princess Buttercup (Robin Wright), his one true love. The movie has a cult following for its quirk romantic take on the stereotypical love story.

You could also try Ad Astra, a gripping sci-fi drama following Brad Pitt’s astronaut’s perilous journey across the solar system to uncover hidden truths about his missing father and the fate of humanity.

MCU’s Thunderbolts* is also available, joining the vast majority of Marvel Studios’ other cinematic offerings in the library.

As well as Marvel, Disney is known as the wider home of franchise fare, with others featured including Star Wars, Alien, Muppet Treasure Island, Planet of the Apes and more. They sit also alongside plenty of Disney and Pixar animated films, as you’d imagine.

However, the platform also hosts a whole range of other, one-off film titles, including Caught Stealing director Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan, and recent awards successes such as A Real Pain, Poor Things, All of Us Strangers, and A Complete Unknown.

That’s not even mentioning other options such as horror films including Ready or Not, sci-fi epic The Creator and whip-smart romcom Rye Lane.

There is truly something for every movie fan on Disney+ – and the Radio Times team have broken down the top picks on the platform in this list.
