Speaking about the year ahead, Chitrangda Singh says, “What excites me about 2026 is the variety. I’m not chasing one kind of role or format. I’m allowing myself to explore different worlds, different responsibilities, and different versions of myself as a creative person.”

Among the most anticipated projects in her lineup is Battle of Galwan, a film rooted in one of India’s most defining recent moments. “It’s a story that demands honesty and restraint,” she shares. “There’s a certain responsibility that comes with telling stories inspired by real events, and I’m deeply conscious of that.”

Adding another dimension to her year is Chitrangda’s foray into production, with a biopic currently in development. “Stepping into production felt like a natural extension of where I am creatively,” she says. “There are stories you don’t want to rush or dilute. Being involved as a producer allows me to protect the spirit of the narrative and stay closely connected to why it’s being told in the first place.”

The year also sees her expanding her global footprint with an international collaboration, alongside other upcoming films across formats. “I’ve reached a stage where I value intent over speed,” Chitrangda reflects. “Whether it’s an international project or a Hindi film, the question is always the same for me now. Does it move me? Does it challenge me?”
