Season 4 of a Dungeons & Dragons-based animated action series will soon be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. In the upcoming season, the heroes will take on a new villain, who is considered one of the most powerful beings in the D&D universe.

The Legend of Vox Machina Season 4 hits Prime Video very soon
The Legend of Vox Machina Season 4 will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video from Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The streamer revealed the release date with a trailer last month, while teasing another fun, action-packed season.
The popular D&D group Critical Role created the show alongside Emmy-winning producer Chris Prynoski. Additionally, all eight members of Critical Role voice the main characters, featuring Laura Bailey, Ashley Johnson, Taliesin Jaffe, Matthew Mercer, Liam O’Brien, Travis Willingham, Marisha Ray, and Sam Riegel.
The Legend of Vox Machina is based on Critical Role’s first D&D campaign, created by Matthew Mercer in 2012. The story centers on the titular dysfunctional group in the fictional world of Exandria. In exchange for money, they set out to save Exandria from an evil group of dragons called Chroma Conclave.
At the end of Season 3, Vox Machina successfully defeated Chorma Conclave. The group then disbanded to follow their own paths. However, it also ended on a massive cliffhanger and introduced a new villain, The Whispered One, also popularly known as Vecna. Naturally, the team is expected to reunite to defeat the dark god in the upcoming season.
The Legend of Vox Machina Season 1 debuted on the platform on January 28, 2022, with subsequent seasons arriving annually. Notably, Season 4 is returning after a two-year break. However, the long break was not in vain. In 2025, Critical Role released The Mighty Nein, another animated show based on their second D&D campaign.
Impressively, the first three seasons of The Legend of Vox Machina received an overwhelming reception from the viewers. On Rotten Tomatoes, the show boasts a perfect critics’ score of 100%, while the user score sits at 94%. Meanwhile, on IMDb, over 50K users have rated it 8.4.
