DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) hoped that one Coronation Street resident could shed some light on the circumstances surrounding Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) murder in today’s episode.

We know, through quotes from series producer Kate Brooks to Radio Times and other media, that the reveal of the murderer won’t come until late June or July.
“It’s a massive story, there’s so many different twists, and there’s so many different offshoots to the story as well,” she explained.
“You think you’re watching one thing, and then it diverts into a completely new kind of story territory. It’ll definitely keep people guessing.”
Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) is currently locked up as chief suspect, though an off-the-cuff comment from Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) left Lisa wondering whether there was something she’d missed.

He asked whether he could retrieve his phone from the station, though she asserted that it had never been taken in for forensics and he must have lost it. A flashback showed someone in black gloves removing the SIM card, before placing it in a skip outside of the builder’s yard.
Eventually, Lisa made a breakthrough when the phone was found at a pawn shop – and some intriguing fingerprints were discovered on the device.
In today’s episode, drama unfolded when Lisa turned up at No. 4 on business, and took Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) into custody on suspicion of theft.
As stunned Sally and Tim Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine) looked on, Brody fiercely protested his innocence while Lisa escorted him to the police car.
The development also left DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) deeply troubled as questions mounted over his son’s possible connection to Theo’s death.
During police questioning, Brody insisted there was nothing sinister behind the discovery. He explained that he was babysitting his younger sisters while Sally and Tim attended Lisa’s wedding, and when one of them had downed some wine, he headed to the kebab shop to get some food to try to sober them up.

He had come across the phone in a skip close to the builders’ yard, and had subsequently sold it to a pawn shop, believing it to be abandoned.
While Sally was angry that he would leave his younger sisters alone in the house, she seemed satisfied by his explanation.
But is Brody telling the truth, and who dumped the phone in the skip in the first place?
