Good Omens star David Tennant has warned fans about Crowley’s mental state in season 3 – and it seems our favourite demon is not doing well.
The final episode of the beloved fantasy series will pick up with Tennant’s Crowley and Michael Sheen’s Aziraphale after they went their separate ways during the devastating season 2 finale.
Speaking to SFX, Tennant teased: “Crowley has pretty much hit rock bottom at the start of this story.
“Friendless, car-less and hopeless. He’s now sleeping in an old sleeping bag in an alleyway. But still not far from the bookshop. He’s keeping an eye. He’s very much a free agent now. He bears no allegiance to Heaven, Hell or anyone else. He’s not in a great place…”
Meanwhile, Aziraphale has his own problems up after accepting the position of Supreme Archangel in Heaven, as he has to grapple with the Second Coming.
The last instalment of Good Omens, which was reduced from a six-episode season to a 90-minute finale, will follow the duo as they’re tasked with saving the world one last time, forcing them to rediscover their bond along the way.
Fans have been analysing the recent first-look snaps of Sheen and Tennant, as well as the newly-released trailer for any clues about the ineffable new episode, and how things might wrap up for our angel and demon.
But with the Rachel Talalay-directed episode set for release in mid-May, there’s not long to wait until all is revealed.
Neil Gaiman, co-author of Good Omens, exited the TV series after he was accused of sexual assault, which he has strongly denied. He contributed to writing the Good Omens finale but he did not work on the production and his production company Blank Corporation was not involved.
A total of nine women have spoken out against the writer, with their accusations being detailed in a Vulture article published in January 2025, and in a Tortoise Media podcast released in July 2024.
Allegations included claims that Gaiman engaged them in “rough” sex and BDSM without their consent. The novelist has firmly denied any non-consensual or illegal conduct in a statement.
He said: “As I read through this latest collection of accounts, there are moments I half-recognise and moments I don’t, descriptions of things that happened sitting beside things that emphatically did not happen.
“I’m far from a perfect person, but I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone. Ever.”
