This week’s (May 18-24) lineup features the release of an alien movie on Hulu, alongside other new releases on the platform and Disney+.
Premiering on Hulu on May 21, 2026, Alien: Romulus (2024) is a sci-fi horror film from director Fede Álvarez. Set between Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), it follows six young space colonists led by Rain Carradine and her synthetic brother Andy. They raid an abandoned space station to escape their mining colony and come face-to-face with lethal Xenomorphs.
Alien: Romulus stars Cailee Spaeny as Rain Carradine, David Jonsson as Andy, Archie Renaux as Tyler, Isabela Merced as Kay, Spike Fearn as Bjorn, and Aileen Wu as Navarro.
Also coming to Hulu this week on May 22 are Camp Rock (2008) and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010), ready to take viewers on a nostalgia tour.
Additionally, Hulu Original docuseries The Nightmare Upstairs: What Happened to Ty and Bryn? releases on the platform this week on May 19. The docuseries examines a high-stakes custody case in Utah. Two children, Ty and Brynlee, allege sexual and emotional abuse by their father and refuse to return to his care.
Meanwhile, on Hulu, new episodes of the Hulu Original Gold Land are arriving on May 20. The 10-episode Disney+ crime thriller stars Park Bo-young as Kim Hee-ju, an airport security agent. Her life spirals after her pilot boyfriend cons her into moving 150 billion won in smuggled gold. Thrust into a deadly fight for survival, she faces off against elite gangsters and a relentless detective.
Plus, new episodes of Bluey Minisodes are also dropping on Disney+ on the same date.
