Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan once again drew global attention at the Joy Awards 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, not only for his presence at the international ceremony but also for an ultra-rare luxury watch that became a talking point among fashion and horology enthusiasts alike.

As Khan walked the red carpet, fans and observers noticed the striking timepiece on his wrist — the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 126599TSA “Blue Sapphire.” Known within elite watch circles as an off-catalogue creation, the model is considered one of the most exclusive pieces produced by Rolex, offered only to a select group of VVIP clients worldwide.

The watch is crafted in solid 18-carat white gold, giving it a refined yet understated appearance. Replacing the traditional tachymeter bezel are 36 baguette-cut blue sapphires, arranged in a seamless gradient. The dial, made from silver sheen obsidian, subtly shifts between deep grey and black depending on the light, while the case is further elevated with 54 brilliant-cut diamonds set along the lugs and crown guards.

Estimated to be valued at around Rs 15 crores, the Daytona Blue Sapphire is rarely seen in public and has never been part of Rolex’s regular showroom catalogue. Its appearance at the Joy Awards added another layer of intrigue to Khan’s attendance at the event.

Earlier in the evening, Shah Rukh Khan also spoke warmly about his experience in Saudi Arabia, praising the “hospitality, warmth, and dignity” shown by fans and locals. He shared that knowing his work is appreciated in the region makes his visits especially meaningful. The actor also reflected positively on filming Dunki in the Kingdom, calling the people, culture, and environment memorable.
