Karan Johar recently attended the London leg of the screening for Homebound a special event hosted by filmmaker Gurinder Chadha. The screening was also graced by the film’s lead actors Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa.

Sharing glimpses from the evening on social media, Karan wrote on his Instagram, “Made it to the London leg of our @homeboundthefilm campaign & it was a night filled with the warmest love, familiar and new faces and a whole lot of support for our film.” He also thanked Gurinder Chadha for hosting the occasion, “A special shoutout to @gurinder.chadha who so graciously hosted this screening for us.”

This London event is the latest in a series of international screenings for Homebound. Earlier this month, the film was showcased in Los Angeles at a screening attended by the film’s cast and crew including Bela Bajaria, Chief Content Officer at Netflix. Before that, the film was also screened in New York City under the aegis of its executive producer, Martin Scorsese.

Commenting on the significance of such global screenings, the film’s director Neeraj Ghaywan said, “Rooted in the love for our land and our people, it carries the essence of the home we all share. To take our stories to the world and represent India at one of the biggest global stages for cinema is both humbling and a matter of pride, and for this I’m deeply grateful.”

With Homebound being showcased across continents from New York and Los Angeles to London the makers are clearly committed to presenting the film to global audiences. The London screening stands as yet another milestone in that journey, celebrated by both fans and the film community alike.
