After its debut earlier this month, Yellowstone spin-off Dutton Ranch has become the biggest original series launch in Paramount+ history.

The series, which follows Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler after the Yellowstone finale, amassed 12.9m views globally in the 7 days since its premiere. Paramount has also reported that it was the number one streaming series according to Nielsen, based on average audience for the week of 11 May, according to preliminary data.
The series also delivered 2.9 million total viewers on its premiere night across its two-episode debut on Paramount Network, and scored the biggest series premiere on cable since 2023, with 1.9 million viewers for the first episode.
Dutton Ranch follows Beth and Rip as they fight to build a future together, and collide with brutal new realities and a ruthless rival ranch that will stop at nothing to protect its empire.

Along with Reilly and Hauser, the series also stars Ed Harris, Annette Bening, Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, JR Villarreal, Marc Menchaca and Natalie Alyn Lind.
Ahead of the show’s launch, Reilly spoke with Radio Times, and teased that she’d like to see a crossover between Dutton Ranch and another Yellowstone spin-off, Marshals, which stars Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton.
Reilly said: “I’d love to get a couple episodes of Beth reuniting with her brother, with Kayce who’s doing Marshals. I think that would be a nice crossover, to see them catch up on each other’s lives. They have both changed tremendously.”
The first season of Marshals recently came to an end, with a second run of the procedural show having already been confirmed.
That show’s season 1 finale teased the potential for a new love story for Kayce, after his wife, Kelsey Asbille’s Monica, was killed off between the end of Yellowstone and the start of Marshals.
