“This is her way of healing!” Netflix has revealed an official trailer for another cute romantic comedy out soon called Voicemails for Isabelle, debuting to watch starting in June in the middle of this summer. From the same director of Scrambled, this time she has Zoey Deutch starring as the woman at the center of this awkward meet cute romance story. The concept reminds me a bit of the 2007 romance P.S. I Love You with Gerard Butler or even the classic You’ve Got Mail (which they literally reference in this). Jill copes with her sister’s death by leaving her voicemails chronicling her chaotic life in San Francisco. When the number is unknowingly reassigned, an elusive Austin real estate agent begins receiving the hilariously confessional messages. They meet up in San Fran and the rest you’ll have to discover only in the movie. Starring Zoey Deutch, Nick Robinson, Harry Shum Jr., Lukas Gage, Ciara Bravo, Megan Danso, Gil Bellows, Toby Sandeman, Spencer Lord; and Nick Offerman. This one looks sweet and sappy enough to watch.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Leah McKendrick’s film Voicemails for Isabelle, from YouTube:

Voicemails for Isabelle charts an unexpected romance between Jill (Zoey Deutch) & Wes (Nick Robinson). After her sister Isabelle (Ciara Bravo) dies, Jill copes by continuing to leave her new voicemails. About everything from her boss Chef Bastien’s (Nick Offerman) insufferable antics to how heartbroken she is without her best friend. Wes, an Austin real estate agent, gets a new work phone and is assigned Isabelle’s old number. Unbeknownst to Jill, Wes gets to listen in on her hilariously confessional messages about her life as an aspiring pastry chef in San Francisco. One voicemail at a time, Wes starts to fall in love with Jill, as they sit on different benches across the country from each other. Wes decides to make feelings known and turns up in SF. But things get even more complicated when he puts off telling Jill the bittersweet reason he’s drawn to her… Voicemails for Isabelle is written and directed by by the Nicaraguan-Scottish-Irish actor / writer / filmmaker Leah McKendrick, director of the film Scrambled and a few other shorts previously. It’s produced by Todd Black, Becky Sanderman, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch. Netflix debuts Voicemails for Isabelle streaming on Netflix worldwide starting June 19th, 2026 this summer. Interested?
