“Something’s following us…” Holy smokes this looks wild! Paramount has revealed the official trailer for a scary horror movie called Passenger, a driving horror riff on the van life culture. This looks crazy! Opening in theaters in late May just over a month from now. “130 million people take road trips every year. 15,400 of them are never seen again.” A few weeks into their van life adventure, a young couple witnesses a horrific accident that leaves the driver dead. Soon they’re being pursued by a demonic stalker who’s impossible to outrun and follows them wherever they go. This has a supernatural concept that actually seems legit scary! Starring Jacob Scipio, Lou Llobell, and Melissa Leo. This reminds me of the indie horror from last year called It Ends also about people stuck driving endlessly due to an external threat. But this movie has even more insane supernatural things going on! This looks nuts! Must watch. “No one out runs the Passenger…”
Here’s the official trailer(+ poster) for André Øvredal’s horror movie Passenger, direct from YouTube:

After a young couple (Jacob Scipio and Lou Llobell) witnesses a gruesome highway accident, they soon realize they did not leave the crash scene alone, as a demonic presence called the Passenger that won’t stop until it claims them both and turns their van life adventure into a nightmare. Passenger is directed by Norwegian genre filmmaker André Øvredal, director of the movies Future Murder, Troll Hunter, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Mortal, and The Last Voyage of the Demeter. The screenplay is co-written by Zachary Donohue & T.W. Burgess. Produced by Walter Hamada & Gary Dauberman. Paramount Pictures Presents in association with Domain Entertainment, an 18Hz/Coin Operated Production. Paramount debuts Øvredal’s Passenger movie in US theaters starting May 22nd, 2026 coming up. Look scary? Who’s down?
