Spoiler warning for Monday 25 May 2026 for the episode released at 7am on ITVX and airs at 8pm on ITV1.

Emmerdale aired what appears to be a major turning point in the feud between the Tates and the Dingles on Monday.
The ITV soap has seen the two families at loggerheads in recent months, primarily because of the actions of scheming Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), who framed Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) for involvement in the modern slavery operation of her late business partner, Celia Daniels, in a bid to get his hands on her farm.
However, last week saw Joe reach a crossroads with his pregnant fiancée Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley) as she sought to leave him behind after swindling him out of money, with Moira as an accomplice.
In the end, Joe persuaded her to stay and also confessed his involvement in the death of her father, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), two Christmasses ago, when Joe’s shock return triggered a heart attack.
After bearing his soul to Dawn, the pair had a shaky reconciliation as she warned him to end his schemes and feuding or she would leave him for good.
On Monday, Dawn reiterated to Joe that it would take time for trust to rebuild between them, but she also wanted action from him.

Later in the episode, Joe approached Moira while she worked to steal a herd from Joe’s land and was prepared for a darker confrontation with the man who had been ruining her life.
However, in a shock for the farmer, Joe extended an olive branch, wishing to put an end to the feuding.
While Moira was suspicious of the ruthless Joe’s sudden change of heart, he revealed that he would do whatever it took to keep Dawn in his life, and that included as close to a fresh start with the Dingles as possible.

A begrudging Moira didn’t disagree but said she hoped he was genuine for Dawn’s sake, but we wonder if Cain will be so peaceful?
Well, Cain also had his own drama to deal with when he was arrested on Monday for public urination and being drunk and disorderly!
Despite the corner turned for Joe and Dawn, it seems heartache beckons following reports that actress Olivia Bromley is being written out of the soap with an exit for Dawn on the way later this year.
How could Joe and Dawn part ways?
ITV declined to comment when approached by Radio Times regarding reports of Dawn’s exit.
