The BBC release date for Ghosts Australia has finally been confirmed, meaning viewers in the UK now know when they can watch this latest take on the hit British sitcom.

Like Ghosts US before it, Ghosts Australia will be premiering on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer, with the first three episodes airing back to back on the channel from 10:30pm through to 11:45pm on Saturday 25 July.
The synopsis for the eight-part series says: “Young couple Kate and Sean inherit Ramshead Manor after the timely death of Kate’s great-uncle.
“Heading out to the country to inspect the dilapidated property, they debate whether to uproot their city lives and turn Ramshead into a boutique hotel.
“Unbeknownst to them, the manor is also home to an eclectic group of Ghosts…”

Starring in the comedy series are Tamala Shelton (Cleverman), Rowan Witt (Totally Completely Fine), Mandy McElhinney (Love Child), Brent Hill (Hamilton), Ines English (Last Days of the Space Age), Michelle Brasier (Aunty Donna), George Zhao (The Family Law) and Jackson Tozer (Ricky Stanicky).
It first aired in November 2025 in Australia, meaning viewers in the UK have been waiting some time to see how the original show’s formula has been adapted this time around.
When the BBC’s acquisition of the series was confirmed, Nick Lee, head of BBC programme acquisition, said in a statement: “It’s a fresh and very fun spin of the wheel for this beloved BBC format. Fans will really enjoy the world this new ghoulish gang create.”

This new series arrives as fans await for the fifth season of Ghosts US, as well as the highly anticipated spin-off film from the original British Ghosts, subtitled The Possession of Button House.
That film, which will arrive in cinemas on Friday 23 October 2026, comes almost three years after the show came to an end with its 2023 Christmas special.
Ghosts Australia will air from 25 July on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
