Like in his previous show Baby Reindeer, writer and creator Richard Gadd also stars in his latest project, Half Man, a BBC drama charting a 30 years ‘brotherhood’ between two men.

While Gadd plays Ruben, Jamie Bell plays the other lead figure of Niall, while the characters are also played in their younger years by Stuart Campbell and Mitchell Robertson.

Jamie Bell plays Niall

Who is Niall? Niall is a man who was meek and mild-mannered at school, who was distressed when Ruben came to live with him. Surprisingly, the two became like brothers, and went on a decades-long journey leading up to Niall’s wedding 30 years later, where an explosion of violence takes place.
Where have I seen Jamie Bell? Richard Gadd plays Ruben

Who is Ruben? Ruben is a man who was in young offenders in his childhood, and who has a violent streak. After being let out, he came to live with Niall, starting a 30 year journey for the two of them.
