Love Island star Ellie Chadwick has reportedly walked out of the villa for good following heartache over Finley Maddock.

The star, an original islander, has threatened to leave the ITV2 dating show a number of times in recent episodes after Finley began to show on-and-off interest in bombshell Elicia Bailey, who chose to be paired with him in a recent recoupling.

However, things appeared to be looking up Ellie and Finley in last night’s episode (Tuesday 14 July), as the former chose to couple up with the latter in another recoupling – and the pair ended up in bed together.

But according to The Sun, Ellie has quit the dating show, with viewers set to see her departure play out “soon”.

A source told the publication: “This is one where the time difference between show action and real life really matters.”

The source continued: “Viewers have seen Ellie threatening to leave across recent episodes, so the news of her now quitting won’t feel like a surprise. But in real time, her and Fin reconnected at the recoupling a few days ago so her decision to now leave is a shock.

“Viewers will see the dramatic action play out in an episode soon.”

Radio Times understands this to be true.

Ellie isn’t the first islander to leave Love Island this year for reasons other than a dumping, with George Knight having departed from the show last month “for private reasons”.
