NCIS: New York is on its way and now, the newest entry in the hit procedural drama franchise has added four new cast members.

It’s been announced that Flashdance icon Jennifer Beals has joined the spin-off as Assistant Special Agent in Charge Robyn Wells.
According to Variety, she is “the director of the NCIS New York field office who leads with her intuition and is widely respected by her team”.
Beals is also known for her roles in The L Word and its sequel series The L Word: Generation Q, as well as in The Book of Boba Fett and Law & Order: Organized Crime.

Elsewhere, three more cast additions have been confirmed, with 13 Reasons Why star Devin Druid having been cast as “witty and brilliant” NCIS Tech Specialist Sean Sullivan.
Salvation’s Jacqueline Byers joins as NCIS Special Agent Addison “Addy” Ross, who has been described as “a rock-solid, tough and resourceful agent with something to prove”.
Lastly, Power Book IV: Force’s Shane Harper stars as NCIS Special Agent Wyatt Hill, who has been described as “fearless, sharp and highly skilled in the field” but is also a “hopeless romantic” – how that will bode for him in the series, we’ll just have to wait and see.

They will all join NCIS: New York leads LL Cool J, who reprises his fan-favourite NCIS: Los Angeles role as Sam Hanna, and Scott Caan, who will be playing an entirely new character despite appearing in a crossover episode of NCIS: Los Angeles as his Hawaii Five-0 character Danny ‘Danno’ Williams.
The description for the new series reads: “Legendary NCIS Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) returns to his hometown of New York City to the NCIS field office, partnering with a roguish agent (Caan) and helping lead a new team as they are tasked with high-stakes missions to defend one of the most vital cities and ports in the world.”

The pilot for the new series has been written by The Pitt creator R Scott Gemmill, who wrote all 14 seasons of NCIS: Los Angeles and served as showrunner for seven. So, it’s safe to say that the new NCIS spin-off is in very good hands, with excitement only continuing to grow now that we know who will be joining LL Cool J and Caan in the ensemble.
Byron Balasco, who is known for his work on Without a Trace, will also serve as showrunner for NCIS: New York. There have been multiple expansions in the NCIS universe, with the original series having been renewed for season 24 at the beginning of this year and set to debut later this year in the US.
NCIS: Origins continues to go from strength to strength also, with the third season set to debut this autumn and NCIS: Sydney having also been renewed for season 4 at the start of 2026.
However, anticipated spin-off NCIS: Tony & Ziva was sadly cancelled after just one season. Here’s hoping that won’t be the case for NCIS: New York.
