Peddi has been making heads turn with its promotional material. Starring Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles, the film’s anticipation has increased ahead of its release. The trailer, which released recently, showcased Ram Charan’s transformation into three distinct athlete avatars: a cricketer, a runner, and a wrestler.

Ram Charan calls Peddi “the most difficult character of his career”: “Proud and fortunate to come across a role like this”

Ahead of the film’s release, Ram spoke about the film and his role, revealing that Peddi has been a deeply enriching journey that shaped him both as an actor and as a person. He also shared that the character represents an unheard section of society and described it as the most challenging role of his career.

Speaking about the role, Ram said, “I am very fortunate to be playing the character. We are representing a section of people who are unheard, who need the voice and need the recognition. And to play a character like that, which is very necessary in a country like India. I feel very proud and fortunate to come across a role like this.”

For Ram Charan, Peddi proved to be a transformative experience. Calling it “the most difficult character I played,” he shared that immersing himself in the role was both challenging and fascinating. He revealed that the film pushed him to grow significantly as a performer, helping him sharpen his craft and feel that he had “upped” his game. He also said the journey was satisfying overall, not just as an actor but also as a person.

In Peddi, Ram Charan portrays a crossover athlete, a character whose journey mirrors the inspiring paths of several real-life sporting greats who experimented with different sports before discovering their true calling.

The musical celebration of Peddi, held on May 23 in Bhopal, emerged as a major event, bringing the film’s entire cast and crew together on a single stage. It was attended by Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Ravi Kishan, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu, director Buchi Babu Sana, and music legend A. R. Rahman. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and IVY Entertainment, with co-producer Ishan Saksena.

The film also boasts a powerful technical team, including music by A. R. Rahman, cinematography by R. Rathnavelu, production design by Avinash Kolla, editing by Navin Nooli, and executive production by V. Y. Praveen Kumar.

Peddi will be released in North India by Jio Studios following the grand success of Dhurandhar, Dhurandhar The Revenge, and Raja Shivaji. The film will have its premiere across the world on June 3, 2026, followed by its worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
