Pluribus star Rhea Seehorn is returning to Apple TV in a new movie. This will mark Seehorn’s second major appearance in an Apple TV original project.

Rhea Seehorn cast in Gavin O’Connor’s Running
Deadline reports that Seehorn has been cast in a new movie directed by Gavin O’Connor, titled Running, which is being written by Bill Dubuque. Running follows a “homeless high school running prodigy on the hunt for greatness as he uses his gifts to outrun his past and find a family.”
“I started thinking about building a story around a homeless kid who doesn’t have a place in the world,” O’Connor said about the film. “No love. No friends. No family. The only home he knows is the streets. It felt like a great place to begin a character’s journey and tell an underdog story about the human spirit.”
Details of Seehorn’s role are being kept under wraps. She is joining fellow cast members Spike Fearn and Brian Tyree Henry. Running isproduced by Makeready in association with Nike Films.

Pluribus is Seehorn’s second venture with creator Vince Gilligan. Before that, Seehorn played Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul, Gilligan’s second project in the Breaking Bad universe. Her performances in both shows were widely praised, with Pluribus earning strong critical acclaim.
The Apple TV show debuted in 2025 to a whopping 99% tomatometer rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 185 reviews. Audience response has been similarly strong, with the show widely discussed during its weekly run. Apple TV has hailed Pluribus as its most-watched TV show, and a second season is in development, with Seehorn returning as Carol Sturka.
Most recently, Gavin O’Connor is known for directing films like Warrior, The Way Back, The Accountant, and its sequel. O’Connor also has experience in the TV world, working on Seven Seconds and Mare of Easttown as an executive producer. Bill Dubuque is a frequent collaborator of O’Connor, and has also worked on the hit TV series Ozark.
There is no release date attached to Running at the time of writing.
