The much-awaited trailer of Street Fighter has finally been unveiled, offering a glimpse into a high-energy cinematic adaptation of the iconic video game franchise. Backed by Paramount Pictures in collaboration with Legendary Entertainment and Capcom, the film promises a visually dynamic and action-driven experience for global audiences.

One of the key highlights for Indian viewers is the presence of Vidyut Jammwal, who essays the role of Dhalsim, the iconic yoga master from the franchise. Known for his action prowess, Jammwal’s inclusion adds a strong desi connect to the otherwise international ensemble cast.

The film features a diverse lineup, including Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, Andrew Koji as Ryu, and Jason Momoa as Blanka. Other prominent cast members include Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Joe ‘Roman Reigns’ Anoai as Akuma, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, and Cody Rhodes as Guile, among others.

Set in 1993, the story follows estranged fighters Ryu and Ken, who are drawn back into combat when Chun-Li recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament. The competition is portrayed as a brutal clash of skill and survival, but beneath the surface lies a deeper conspiracy that forces the fighters to confront their pasts and face unexpected challenges.

Directed by Kitao Sakurai, Street Fighter aims to translate the fast-paced action of the arcade classic onto the big screen. The trailer showcases signature moves such as Hadoukens and high-impact fight sequences, staying true to the spirit of the original game while adapting it for a cinematic format.

Street Fighter is scheduled to release in India on October 16, 2026, by Paramount Studios India, positioning itself as one of the major action releases of the year.
