Michael Fassbender is returning to espionage with the debut of The Agency season 2 trailer. Paramount+ has released the first look at the upcoming season, along with a release date.
The Agency debuted in 2024 to positive reviews and was renewed for a second season towards the end of the year. The show follows Fassbender as Brandon “Martian” Colby, an undercover CIA agent whose path crosses with his lover, a political prisoner in Sudan, leading to numerous twists and turns. If it looks familiar, The Agency is a reimagining of the critically acclaimed French drama Le Bureau des Légendes (The Bureau internationally).
“Betrayed, compromised, and haunted by the woman he couldn’t save, CIA agent Martian’s world unravels as a mole hunt plunges London Station into chaos,” reads the second season’s synopsis. “As loyalties fracture, the truth becomes a weapon – and Martian’s only way out is deeper in.”

What happens in The Agency Season 2 trailer?
The trailer shows Martian admitting that he betrayed his country, but he doesn’t regret his actions. Following a montage of exciting action, it is revealed that the agency is on a mole hunt, putting its crosshairs on Martian.
The Agency stars Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, Katherine Waterston, Harriet Sansom Harris, John Magaro, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, India Fowler, Andrew Brooke, Christian Ochoa Lavernia, Reza Brojerdi, Ambreen Razia, Alex Reznik, and Richard Gere. Dominic West and Hugh Bonneville appear as guest stars. The recurring cast includes Medalion Rahimi, Tessa Ferrer, Clayne Crawford, Keanush Tafreshi, and Raza Jaffrey.
Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth return as writers and executive producers for the show. Its executive producers include David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari for 101 Studios. George Clooney and Grant Heslov from Smokehouse Pictures, along with Alex Berger for TOP – The Originals Productions, also executive produce. Ashley Stern and Pascal Breton for Federation Studios/Federation Entertainment of America, along with Michael Fassbender, Joe Wright, and Keith Cox, also serve as executive producers.
All 10 episodes of The Agency season 2 will be released on Paramount+ from June 21, 2026.
