It was a steady second weekend for Chand Mera Dil as Saturday collections came close to Rs. 2 crores mark while the Sunday numbers went ahead of that. The film brought in Rs. 1.80 crore and Rs. 2.20 crores respectively, which was above Friday collections of Rs. 1.30 crore.
The film could well have had better numbers on each of the days but this was the final weekend of IPL playoffs and finals and that held back the collections a bit. Otherwise at least Rs. 1-1.50 crore could have been easily added to the total. The film has primarily found audiences amongst the urban youth and this is where it would get footfalls during this week as well. There are different offers around BOGO and reduced ticket prices that have further helped it sustain momentum and this could well be the case till the close of its run as well.
This Lakshya and Ananya Panday starrer has accumulated Rs. 23.60 crores so far and would be aiming to come close to the Rs. 30 crores mark by the close of second week. That would be a fair total for this Vivek Soni directed romantic drama and anything that gets added to this from third week on would be an added bonus.
