We’ve all been there, haven’t we? That awkward moment where you walk down the aisle on your wedding day, only to realise your bride-to-be has been sleeping with her adoptive half-sister’s half-brother.

OK, maybe not. But in EastEnders, this is pretty commonplace.
Nuptials on the BBC soap rarely go to plan, and Vicki Fowler’s (Alice Haig) infidelity with Zack Hudson (James Farrar) has been a ticking time bomb since last year.
With half of Albert Square privy to the affair, it was only a matter of time before her fiancé Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw) cottoned on.
Earlier this week, Zack met up with old flame Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), and it was clear that he was hopeful of a reunion. Instead, she explained that she’d moved on with a fella named Ruben, and that she’d never been happier.

He was mortified and decided to have one last shot at winning over Vicki by presenting her with a necklace. She said she was committed to Ross, it was the eve of her wedding, and she wouldn’t be accepting it.
Down in the dumps, Zack headed home to care for nephew Albie while Vicki caught up with their mutual sister Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), and Ross stumbled in from a night out with his mates.
A pair of knickers were discovered on the floor, and feeling like he had nothing to lose, Zack alluded to Ross that Vicki could be being unfaithful again.
Those seeds of doubt had been firmly planted, and in today’s episode, it was clear that Ross had doubts about going through with the ceremony.
Zack noticed that he wasn’t even dressed, and Ross mentioned that he was feeling uneasy about whether or not he can trust Vicki. Zack decided to use this as another opportunity to try to convince Vicki that she was making the wrong decision, but she wasn’t hearing it.
Vicki then hit another stumbling block. She’d discovered that her wedding car wouldn’t be taking her to Walford Park, and so she and brother Mark (Stephen Aaron-Sipple) would have to take the tube instead. It should have only been one stop, but the train became stuck behind another vehicle in the tunnel.

She couldn’t contact anyone to say she was delayed, and Ross was becoming increasingly unnerved.
To make matters worse, whenever he mentioned that Zack was also missing, everyone else displayed a worried expression. When Ian (Adam Woodyatt) and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) were asked why they appeared to be spooked, they quickly moved the conversation on.
Suddenly, Mark burst into the marquee with Vicki over his shoulder. They were quickly followed by Zack, and Vicki was eager for the wedding to get under way.
The celebrant began to deliver her speech, though Ross needed to know the truth. Outright, he asked Vicki if Zack was the one that she’d slept with.
Her silence was more telling than words ever could be, and the floor fell from beneath Ross’s feet.
Is this the end of their relationship?
