“The man ask again, ‘who is next?’ And the prophet replied…” Amazon MGM Studios + Orion Pictures have revealed the first look teaser trailer for a movie titled Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother. This is set for release and ready to hit theaters starting in September after the summer is over. From writer-director Bassam Tariq (of Mogul Mowgli & “Bait”). Mahershala Ali stars as Latif, a devoutly religious hitman who struggles to balance work, faith and fatherhood. When his wife dies, he embarks upon a desperate journey across Houston, Texas to protect his children, confronting the forces closing in around him – and the beliefs threatening to unravel within. Mahershala Ali called Latif “the most honest and complicated character I’ve read in a script” during an intro at CinemaCon earlier this year, stating that this is “exactly the kind of movie I’ve been wanting to make.” Bring it on. The full cast includes Giancarlo Esposito, John Cho, Tramell Tillman, Abubakr Ali, Laith Nakli, Tiffany Boone, and Adia. This looks excellent! A sleek, impressive teaser setting up the premise and introducing us to Ali’s Latif and what he is going through on this journey.

Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother stars Mahershala Ali as Latif, a deeply religious hitman trying to maintain a balance between his work, his faith, and fatherhood. That life suddenly becomes much more difficult and morally ambiguous when his wife dies. To protect his children, he sets out on a frantic journey across Houston that will test both his devotion & his skills with enemy forces zeroing in on him. As his external war threatens to undo him, his beliefs start to unravel from within, completely shaking who he is at his core.
