Bonjour Roland-Garros! The French Open, the second major in the tennis calendar, arrives for its 2026 edition.

All eyes are on Paris as clay court season signs off in style. Tennis’s crème de la crème will battle it out on the red dirt of the French capital for a shot at Grand Slam glory in early June.
Injury has robbed Carlos Alcaraz of his chance at a third consecutive men’s singles title and leaves Jannik Sinner, who tops the rankings after an unstoppable start to the year, as the heavy favourite. The Italian is hunting history as a maiden French Open title would see him complete the career grand slam.
Fellow World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka is chasing a first Roland-Garros triumph of her own but faces some strong competition, including defending champion Coco Gauff, four-time winner Iga Swiatek, and World No.2 Elena Rybakina.
Though Jack Draper is missing due to injury, the Brits are well represented in Paris. Alongside some real contenders in the doubles, Cam Norrie is the only seeded player in the singles, but Emma Raducanu, Jacob Fearnley, Katie Boulter, Francesca Jones and Toby Samuel are also in the main draw.
A thrilling few weeks of tennis await – and the good news for UK fans is that there will be extensive live coverage throughout.
