“How long do y’all think we can do this? Just sitting in here, driving…” Neon has revealed their first offiical trailer for the film It Ends, an acclaimed indie stuck-in-one-place horror thriller from filmmaker Alexander Ullom. This initially premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival to rave reviews & plenty of buzz, playing at Sitges, Overlook, Fantasia, and many other fests during last year. Neon is finally ready to give it a theatrical release this summer with their full support behind it. It Ends is a contained minimal time loop horror about these friends who get stuck driving on an endless road to nowhere. Friends on a late-night food run become trapped on an infinite highway with otherworldly terrors lurking beyond. Confined in their Jeep Cherokee, they must decide whether to accept their fate or attempt escape. The four are played by unknown newcomer actors Phinehas Yoon, Akira Jackson, Noah Toth, and Mitchell Cole. This is a slick, creative, clever concept that the director has explained is cinema about Gen-Z culture, about the experience of never really knowing how to grow up and move on – stuck on this endless drive. Neon’s poster rules – such a cool design.

A group of recent grads head out on a late-night drive for grub, hoping to enjoy one final hangout before their paths diverge. Instead, they accidentally turn onto a never-ending, two-lane hellscape surrounded by untold horrors and cosmic forces beyond their understanding. It Ends is written and directed by young newcomer filmmaker Alex Ullom, making his feature directorial debut with this film. Produced by Carrie Carusone & Evan Barber. This initially premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival last year and played at many other genre fests.
