A brand new trailer has divulged 9 new spoilers for Hollyoaks over the coming months.

Affairs have been revealed, there’s secrets and lies, and a lavish wedding for Leah Barnes (Charlotte Riley) and Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana).
The E4 soap has teased that it could well be a “cruel summer” for the residents, as things heat up in Chester.
Steph Waring has reprised her role as Cindy Cunningham after two years away, and will be back on our screens imminently.
There’s also the return of newcomer Abigail Matthews (Brooke Vincent), who we briefly met during Dee Dee Hutchinson’s (Chloe Atkinson) stint in rehab. But why is she back in the village, and what demons is she hiding?

9 Hollyoaks spoilers revealed in the summer trailer
1. Cindy Cunningham returns after two years

We last saw her leaving for pastures new in September 2024, but Cindy is back this summer – and with a bang!
What exactly draws her back to the quaint Chester village remains to be seen, though Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) has her suspicions.
There’s an awkward family reunion as she comes face-to-face with niece Beth Keane (Rebecca Ryan), and before long, difficult matters from the past resurface.

She also has a new flatmate, and it’s someone we’ve already met…
2. A new mystery surrounds Abigail Matthews

Dee Dee gets a surprise when her drugs counsellor Abigail arrives at Hollyoaks High.
It transpires that she’s landed herself a teaching job, and wants to build on their bond over the summer holidays. Dee Dee is thrilled, seeing her as a maternal figure following mum Diane’s (Alex Fletcher) death.
Abigail strikes up a friendship with Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin), and instantly becomes a popular figure within the village. We also see them flirting!
However, as the trailer shows, something sends her spiralling – and she smashes up the bathroom on the flat she shares with Cindy in a violent rage.
3. Tony Hutchinson’s children intensify his grief

Dee Dee, Maddox Keane (Sam Meyer), Ant Hutchinson (Brook Debio) and Kathleen-Angel McQueen (Naledi Rapotu) are on cloud nine after finishing their exams, and both couples are looking to want to take the next step in their relationship.
However, as Tony silently battles his grief for Diane, the teens’ unruly behaviour seems to be slipping under the net.
4. Leah Barnes and Imran Maalik’s wedding takes a sour turn

Leah and Imran are busy preparing for their wedding, but her head is being turned by Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer).
Imran’s mum Misbah (Harvey Virdi) questions her motives, and it doesn’t take long for Prince’s girlfriend Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) to discover the affair.
Friendships unravel, accusations fly, and the wedding is put on the line.

Will they say their their vows, or is the floor about to fall from beneath Imran’s feet?
5. Jenson Cole is held at gunpoint as Prince McQueen plots against Warren Fox

Jenson Cole (Ryan Clayton) wrestles over being a donor for his nephew Sebastian Blake (Teddie Williamson), though Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) is adamant that he’ll go through with the procedure.
Ultimately, Jenson is held at gunpoint by Gemma Johnson’s (Tisha Merry) cronies. Will he get to the hospital in time?
Meanwhile, after confessing that he wants to kill Warren, Prince plays a dangerous game by being by his side.
6. Dodger Savage makes a decision in his love triangle

Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) makes a decision regarding his emotional love triangle this summer.
Torn between Cleo and Theresa McQueen (Jorgie Porter), he finally makes a decision after reflecting on the trauma of the past year – Cleo is the one.
When a raid headed up by Donny Clark (Louis Emerick) ends up with a man down, that could all be about to change.
7. Ste Hay receives an almighty shock

The trailer shows that newlyweds Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) and Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) are back on the right path, and can’t keep their hands off one another.
However, after catching sight of something or someone, Ste flees.
Who or what is his racing to, or from?

Brief glimpses of his estranged son Lucas, and of ex-husband James were shown. B
ut why are they back, and what does it mean for Ste?
8. Tragedy strikes for the Hollyoaks OGs

With Cindy back, she collapses into Darren Osborne’s (Ashley Taylor-Dawson) arms, and Ste is consolable as Tony opens up about his struggles as a single parent.
Our ’90s and ’00s favourites need to lean on one another, when a horrific incident unfolds.
But what is it?
9. Mercedes McQueen is in grave danger

An exclusive scene shared at the end of the trailer shows Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) heading off on a spa break with Ste and Leela Lomax (Kirsty-Leigh Porter).
However, Gemma catches them leaving, and listens in on their conversation about the route they’re about to take down the motorway.
Gemma puts in a call that will change their lives forever.
Hollyoaks is available to watch on Channel 4 catch-up and airs Monday to Wednesday, from 7pm on E4.
