A brand new tell-all documentary is coming to Netflix focusing on football giant José Mourinho.

The new three-episode biopic, titled Mourinho, which was filmed over a period of two years, tells the story of the revolutionary football manager, charting his rise into one of football’s most trophy-laden and outspoken figures – winning league titles in four different countries and lifting the Champions League trophy twice.
With exclusive access to Mourinho himself, the documentary also includes candid interviews with the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, John Terry, Iker Casillas, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Didier Drogba, Marcelo, Samuel Eto’o, Javier Zanetti, Frank Lampard, Petr Čech and other footballing greats.
From the producers of Beckham and directed by Joe Pearlman, the brain behind previous Robbie Williams and Lewis Capaldi documentaries, Mourinho will air on the platform on Tuesday 11 August.

In a first-look clip at the new documentary, which you can watch above, Mourinho takes the viewer on a tour of a room filled with football memorabilia from the expanse of his career, stating: “This is my history.”
Walking around the room adorned with trophies, awards and a life-size mural of himself, Mourinho shows to the camera dedicated Maradona boots, one of Christiano Ronaldo’s football shirts from his first season, and a figurine of himself when he was manager of Chelsea.
Speaking candidly in an interview to the camera, Mourinho says: “I started winning in 2003 and my last title was 2022, so it was 20 years winning. That’s why you want to tell my story. You don’t do a documentary on a guy that wins nothing.”
