The London performance came shortly after the conclusion of the Unforgettable ’90s LIVE USA & Canada Tour 2026, which travelled across multiple cities in North America during March and April this year. The tour featured Kumar Sanu, Sadhana Sargam, and Shannon K performing in cities including New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington DC, and New Jersey, among others.
During the concerts, Kumar Sanu and Sadhana Sargam revisited songs from the 1990s era of Hindi cinema, while Shannon K incorporated English and Hindi renditions aimed at connecting with younger audiences. The tour was organised by Shri Balaji Entertainment under the leadership of Rocky Kaushal and Darshan Mehta.
Speaking about the tour and the Royal Albert Hall concert, Shannon K said, “I had the opportunity to perform alongside two iconic singers, my father, Kumar Sanu, and Sadhana Ma’am, and being part of the USA tour again this year was incredibly special.”
She further added, “As younger audiences continue to rediscover ’90s Bollywood through reels, remixes, and streaming platforms, I’ve loved reimagining this music through a modern pop lens, connecting the magic of the ’90s with my generation and showing that great music never belongs to just one era.”
Kumar Sanu also shared his thoughts on Shannon K joining the performances and said that audience response played a major role in expanding her participation in the concerts. “It started when my audience was constantly asking about Shannon and how they enjoy her English songs. So my promotion and I decided to get her onboard for two shows and see how it goes,” he said.
“The way audiences showered love on Shannon when she performed English songs, I realized that USA, Canada and UK audiences listen to both English and Hindi music. Shannon added freshness and value to my ’90s setup, and her ability to sing ’90s songs in a pop style brought modern energy while respecting the emotion of the originals,” Kumar Sanu added.
Singer Sadhana Sargam also reflected on the experience and said, “I was so honored and happy to join Sanu da on stage once again. It felt wonderful to sing our old songs and see the new generation enjoying them as well. Shannon was the cherry on top of the tour, as she connected with younger audiences and was a valuable addition to the show.”
According to the organisers, the concerts aimed to create a shared musical experience by combining nostalgic Bollywood songs with contemporary presentation styles. The Royal Albert Hall performance marked the conclusion of the 2026 edition of the tour, bringing the artists together with a live symphony orchestra for the London audience.
