Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 officially has a release date!
Percy (Walker Scobell), Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) will be returning to us on 20 November, as was announced at San Diego Comic Con.
Season 3 of the Disney+ fantasy series will adapt Rick Riordan’s third novel, The Titan’s Curse, which sees the campers at Camp Half-Blood on a quest to save Annabeth and the goddess Artemis (Dafne Keen) from the Titan Atlas (Holt McCallany).
A teaser trailer has also given us a glimpse at the action to come, with Percy saying: “It was my choice to hold the weight. The Titan’s curse. I knew the risk. But if I needed to sacrifice myself to save the world, to save my friends…was it really a choice?”
Safe to say, it feels like things are about to get a lot darker. Happily for fans of Riordan’s novels, Scobell revealed during the panel that season 3 will “stay true” to the book.
Returning cast members include Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Daniel Diemer as Tyson and Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue.

Meanwhile, we can also expect some new characters: Levi Chrisopulos as Nico di Angelo, Olive Abercrombie as Bianca di Angelo, Saara Chaudry as Zoë Nightshade, Hubert Smielecki as Apollo, Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite and Ming-Na Wen as Hera.
Previously speaking to Radio Times, author Riordan opened up about the legacy of the novels – and how it felt to make changes to his source material.
“We had many, many conversations about that. And I will say this, I think everyone on the team is very mindful of the legacy of the books and the audience and what they’re expecting,” he said.
“So while I don’t think we feel imprisoned by that, I do think that we all feel a sense of obligation and respect toward the material. So everyone’s coming at it from the same point of view, which is really lovely.
“I mean, anytime you translate from one media to another, you have to make changes.”
Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 will arrive on Disney+ on 20 November.
